On Feb. 13, 2019, Life Care Center of Plano, Texas, shared a lot of love (and a lot of bacon) with local first responders.

The facility hosted a breakfast for these community servants, complete with pancakes, bacon, fruit, juice and coffee. The police officers stuck around to enjoy the meal at the facility, and associates stopped by to thank them for their service to the community and the center.

“We were honored to serve nine of our City of Plano police officers and the chief of police,” said Christina Guerrero, clinical liaison. “We wanted to thank all of our first responders for always placing the community first. They are protecting us in our homes, businesses, streets, etc., and we wanted to reach out and show them we appreciate their hard work. Each of them was incredibly thankful and stated multiple times that this was nice.”

Daniels shared that first responders are special to the facility in several ways. They respond to emergencies with promptness and care and have supported the residents in engaging activities as well.

Good Shepherd Hospice co-sponsored the breakfast.
